Best cheap acoustic guitar?
I've been playing electric guitar for about 6 years now and have recently bought a new guitar. However I enjoy playing my acoustic some times but it is terrible, it was second hand 10 years ago and the sound is awful. Seeing as I wont use it as much as my electric I don't want to be paying very much for it. I know guitars are based on personal preference but does anyone have any suggestions on where to start my search?Thanks
What type of guitar to get?
Hey all, I've been playing guitar for over a year, and whilst my actual ability to play guitar isn't in question here, my main issue is the lack of knowledge that I have as to what guitars to buy, and the knowledge of different aspects of guitar and what brands produce certain desired sounds and the different bits and bobs guitars have... So if possible could someone refer a link that will help me to understand any of this. I'd be terribly great full... Thanks
What does it mean by a lefty-strung guitar?
Does that means that you can play it with left hand?If not,what does a lefty strung guitar is used for? i saw a answer on my question answers.yahoo.com question index and the best answer said Hendrix restrung right handed guitars for left handed playing. but i just do not get it
How to make a guitar smell better?
My friend is letting me borrow on of his guitars, its electric and very nice. However there was something in the case that made it smell really bad I really want to play but I cannot stand the smell Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell without ruining the guitar ? Thanks in advance
Would a 3/4 guitar be better for me?
Hi I presumed before that smaller guitars were normally just for children, but i'm just about to start guitar lessons and I first you know.....need to buy a guitar. I'm currently just messing around on my housemates guitar which is full sized but it is a massive strain for me to stretch my fingers, where as he doesn't seem to struggle at all. can i point out it's not because he's actually been playing to guitar for ages...he can play a few chords, i don't really know why he has a guitar . He mentioned that his cousin who is about 5 and a half foot mu house mate being over six has a 3 4 sized guitar. Should I buy a 3 4 size or will I be able to stretch to the chords with ease after practise?
