Should I stop using a pick on my classical guitar?
My parents bought it for me years ago and my guitar teacher didn't say anything about not using a pick so I just assumed it was okay. I recently started playing guitar again and I've been using a soft medium pick on it. I used to think it was just a child's guitar or something but I now know it's a classical smaller, neck starts on 12th fret etc Is it damaging it to use a pick?

Amplifier for classical guitar?
I'm trying to find the best cheap amplifier that I can use for my classical guitar. I need something small, as I'll mostly be playing in coffee houses. I just want to boost my volume a bit so that I don't have to worry about being heard.I was looking at this amp musiciansfriend.com guitars orange amplifiers crush pix series cr12l 12w 1x6 guitar combo ampIt's an electric guitar amp, but from what I've heard, Orange is a great brand. What do you think? Are there any other amps I should look at? I'm really hoping to stay under $100, but I'll take any suggestions
What is that classical guitar song...?
I'm fairly sure it's by an American composer, in the 50's 60's...Starts out with soft acoustic guitar, then builds and eventually includes the full orchestra. It's really really intense at the climax. The motif is... sorry again, this is going to sound so vague... > < " Ba ba ba baa baaa baaaaa.. ba ba ba baa baa baaaa dun da dun da ba ba ba baa baa baaaa, ba ba ba ba BAH bah BAH bah bah baahhh...I'm sorry I can't give any more information, I used to love it a few years ago but have totally lost it and want to show somebody... I don't know the artist or the name of the song...also no lyrics...
Is it worth playin slide on a classical guitar?
i am an intermediate guitarist at best, but really only play blues & some rock country.i'm trying to learn slide AND fingerpicking better at the same time, so it feels like i'm re learning the instrument.main problem is, i don't have a steel string right now, so the slide sounds pretty weak...but i am getting better at handling it.is it worth practicing slide on my nylon strings, or should i hold off & concentrate on fingerpicking?Err...i have no intention of sticking w classical guitar, i hate it.i'll play electric whenever possible, & will get a steel string acoustic only for travel. So basically i just want to use the classical for practicing techniques that will help my steel playing later.
Classical guitar price?
Yes I know all about the expensive ones and what not but I just want to know if hmm... 670 dollars is a good price for a classical guitar? I mean to the point where your teacher will hold it and say " nice guitar" and not think " this guitar isn't worth much" or " not a good guitar" ... Infact you might even trick people to saying this guitar cost me 1000 dollars and they'll believe it yeah?
