Best brand for electro acoustic guitars?

What is the difference between an acoustic guitar and an electro acoustic guitar?
Be aware that I know nothing about guitars, so if possible please explain in laymen's terms. I want to learn to play guitar and was looking online to purchase one. I would also appreciate any recommendations as far as good guitars and maybe some accessories I might be needing as a beginner. . Oh and I really like the Beatles I was thinking I would learn to play some of their songs. Again, I know nothing about guitars. Thanks in advance.
What type of electro acoustic guitar should I buy?
I'm not a beginner, but recently got back into to playing after a year of hardly touching my standard acoustic guitar. I have a budget of around 150 but would obviously prefer to spend less so i'm guessing I could only afford a cheap guitar. Hand painting designs on my electro-acoustic guitar?
ok, i love the actual colour and stuff of the guitar, and it's pretty basic, but i just wanted to paint on some delicate, small, hand painted designs on it. I was wondering if i could just keep the guitar exactly how it is and just paint designs onto it, and what paint would i have to use?Any more information AT ALL would be useful D thanks xx

It's for my 14 year old son. He's played for a few years. We are aiming to budget around 100 300 preferably. He already has a fairly decent amp Roland cube 30W . We are just unsure what to look for in it.
