Too late to take guitar lessons?
My mom's been bugging me about taking guitar lessons D I'm 17 now & I've been self taught since I was 11. I play both electric & acoustic. I know how to tune my guitar standard, drop d, drop c , I know all the chords I should know, I know how to read tabs & sheet music, I know how to hammer on and pull off. There's obviously a whole bunch of other techniques I still need to learn, but should I take guitar lessons for that? My mother keeps bugging me about taking guitar lessons just so I could get qualified to " teach" or something lol. Oh and when I was 13 I taught my cousin how to play all the basic chords lmao

Taking piano&guitar lessons at the same time?
I am a junior in high school and I have to chose my schedule for next year. Piano and guitar are offered to me as electives at school. I've always wanted to play guitar so I picked it. But piano was my elective for sophomore year,I did ok but I was always stressed from it. Should I take both piano2 and guitar for next year since I already kno the basics of piano? Or is it gonna be hard? Also taking both will make me have zero period next year so I have to wake up a lil earlier than usual. I need ur opinions plz. Thank you

How should I go about quitting my guitar lessons?
I have been taking guitar lessons with the same teacher for four years. The lessons are $15 a week for a half hour lesson and at this point I really feel like the lesson are becoming a waste of my time and money and that being self taught would help my playing. I also don't like getting up at 10am every Saturday morning. I really appreciate the teacher and don't want him to be offended by my decision. How should I go about telling him I want to quit?

I've been writing songs for years as an acoustic guitarist singer songwriter. Now I'm finding that as my songwriting advances, I'm struggling to perform my songs well.If you've ever been in the same position and decided to take guitar or voice lessons, I'd like to hear about your experience. On one hand, I'm not a good singer at all, so I think I have more potential for improvement with voice lessons. A little formal training would likely take me from being a passable singer to an OK singer.On the other hand, there's a ton I would like to learn on guitar. I'm good at playing 1st position chords and fingerstyle struming, and I can do some fingerpicking. But I would love to start playing up the neck, improve my fingerpicking, and learn flat picking.So what do you think? Should I try to become a decent singer who's also decent at guitar, passable singer who's good at guitar?

Should I get guitar lessons?
Hi, I've played guitar for about 2 years now, I took beginning lessons when i just started but none since. I know a good amount of music theory and i am learning more, i know how to play chords, different scales pentatonic, major, chromatic, ext. I know how to improvise solos and alternet picking, and many songs of varying difficulty. My problem is I see no NEED to get lessons, there are PLENTY of videos on the internet to help me if i want to know something. So i just wanna know if I should take lessons at this point or if its just a big waste of time and money.
