What exactly does a electric guitar pedal board need?
I don't need the brand of the pedals, that will be my opinion. All I want to know is what it NEEDSPedal wise, not power wise or plugs. Or is it just a matter of personal opinion?

I have a Zoom G1X multi effect guitar pedal. It worked well with my previous solid state amp. I recently got a Bugera tube amp. I tried hooking it up into the FX Loop in the back and it did not work. Would I be able to hook it up in front with no problems, or do I have to use FX Loop?
Help me pick a guitar pedal please?

How to bypass all my guitar pedals?
I am using a clean Vox tube amp, with 3 stomp box pedals connected to it. Is there a foot switch I can buy that will shut off all the pedals at the same time, so I am just playing through the clean amp?
Is there a difference between electric guitar pedals and acoustic guitar pedals?
If so, how much and what? I do know that you don't normally add anything to the acoustic, I was just wondering really.

Stuck between guitar pedals?
I made my confirmation last week and my Godmother is going to take me to get a new guitar pedal. The only problem is I don't know which one to get. I was planning on getting either the DigiTech Whammy DT or the Boss ST 2 Power Stack Distortion. I would absolutely use them both, so no answers saying " they're useless" please, and I am open to suggestions. The music I play if it helps is from Van Halen, to Slipknot, to the White Stripes, to Pink Floyd, to Pantera, to Rage Against the Machine, and Everything in between. I am also open to suggestions. I also have a Wah Pedal, Delay Pedal, and a Zoom Fire multi effect so I don't need a flanger or a chorus or a tremolo or anything like that . So please, if you could tell me which one would be better, or the pros and cons of each, or even recommend a different one, that would be great.

Hi, I'm lead guitarist in my heavy metal band. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of guitar pedals would be best used for in order to play a heavy metal guitar solo.
