I have a question about overdrive guitar pedals, and which of these is better ?
For example I have a clean amp settings and reverb on it, if i press a guitar pedal, i will have overdrive sound depends on what pedal is . Whether i still have a reverb effect from Amp, or only the sound from pedal?Which of these overdrive distorsion pedals is best BOSS DS 1, BOSS DS 2, OS 2
Stuck between guitar pedals?
I made my confirmation last week and my Godmother is going to take me to get a new guitar pedal. The only problem is I don't know which one to get. I was planning on getting either the DigiTech Whammy DT or the Boss ST 2 Power Stack Distortion. I would absolutely use them both, so no answers saying " they're useless" please, and I am open to suggestions. The music I play if it helps is from Van Halen, to Slipknot, to the White Stripes, to Pink Floyd, to Pantera, to Rage Against the Machine, and Everything in between. I am also open to suggestions. I also have a Wah Pedal, Delay Pedal, and a Zoom Fire multi effect so I don't need a flanger or a chorus or a tremolo or anything like that . So please, if you could tell me which one would be better, or the pros and cons of each, or even recommend a different one, that would be great.

How to set up my guitar pedals?
I have a peavey 6505 112 my effects are a wha, overdrive, distortion, reverb, and a turner. The back of the amp has the effects loop but I am curious what the best option would be. Do I plug the wha and tuner into the input of the amp and the rest into the loop? I have the wha on the loop but I can't figure out how to get it to bypass. Thanks for the help.
How to bypass all my guitar pedals?
I am using a clean Vox tube amp, with 3 stomp box pedals connected to it. Is there a foot switch I can buy that will shut off all the pedals at the same time, so I am just playing through the clean amp?

like for example if your were playing a song by some band and that band used a lot of pedals in their song but you didnt use any pedals when you played the exact same song would your version without any of the special effect pedals sound different? so how important are guitar pedals to the sound of the guitar?
