Michael Kelly DCSB and Gibson ES-355 guitar repair?!?!?!?
I have a Michael Kelly guitar I got as a gift. For that reason it is my favorite guitar. It's a semi hollow body, basically a mock of the Gibson ES 355 BB King's " Lucille" . The sound is great. and with the right strings it's just what I want. Well, it finally happened after about five years it broke. When I hook it into the amp there's just this static. I know the input is jacked up in one way or another. It seemed like an easy fix off the bat. Then I flipped the thing over to open it up and realized there was nothing to open up It never occurred to me but there is no was to get into this guitar. And it would be impossible to reach the input from the f hole, I've tried. Wtf do I do this sucks The model of my guitar is DCSB apparently. I can't even find anything about it on the internet. Somebody throw me a bone please Thanks

Are there any good books about guitar repair?
I want to start saving money instead of going to the guitar repair shop, so, as a guitarist of 9 years, I want to start repairing my guitar. Are there any good books that i could go to Barnes and Nobles and buy? just a side note I want one that solves more complicated problems rather than simple ones because i know how to repair most of the simple predicaments.
Acoustic guitar repair.... An unusual ringing on the high E string?
I purchased an electric Acoustic guitar about a week ago. I originally experienced fret buzz but I immediately had it fixed. Now I am experiencing a high pitch ringing noise on the higher E string, It only occurs when fretting the note, or by strumming hard. The sound occurs whether I'm plugged in or not... but if the guitar is plugged in.... the sound becomes much more evident. The sound is similar to the sound of a slight high pitch un natural ringing.... similar to what you would expect if your mic was up to loud or to close to your amplifier. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to help me cure this problem? And by the way.... I've been playing for a while, so I know that it isn't my hand positioning that is causing the problem... any tips?
Where could I get my guitar repaired?

How much would this guitar repair cost?
I have a Yanaha Eg 112 c guitar that has a broken jack plate and the selector switch is a bit touchy. I have to jiggle it a bit to get the pickup to work. It also suffers from a buzzing sound from improper grounding.
Anybody know any schools for guitar repairs in toronto canada?
Am I getting ripped off for this classical guitar repair?
I have an old '65 epiphone EC 100 seville classical guitar that was given to me by a friend. It had several cracks in the soundboard so I took it to a local repair shop to get it fixed up. He couldn't give me a quote off the bat, but said it would be around $200. It is finally done now, and hes saying the final cost is $275.He said he had to make a new brace and glue all the cracks which is why it is so much.It also took him nearly 9 months to get it finished. Does it seem like I'm being ripped off or is this reasonable for this kind of repair? Thanks Dave
Acoustic guitar repair help?
The strings on my acoustic are brand new and my friend stringed it for me. But ever since then, the strings are so far off of the neck that it's almost impossible to play. You have to stop after like 3 minutes because it hurts too bad to push them down. Is there a way to fix this without having to take it into a shop? If not, how much would it cost to fix?
I need to learn basic guitar repair: fretboard repair, electric guitar electronic components repair etc...?
What is a good cheap way for me to learn this at home?I work at a music store and they occasionally need me to fix guitars that come in. Usually these jobs are so easy it requires no special knowledge greater than my mechanical inclination. 15 years of being a guitarist and being an engineering student helps too. But sometimes I have to say " sorry, I can't help you. I dont know what I'm doing"

Can you get your guitar repaired?
My cousin just gave me her old Dean guitar. She said that it's been sitting in her closet for about 8 years now. When I took it home to play it for the first time I noticed that the pickups on the guitar are loose and the strings are damaged, also the guitar has stains on it like it was scarped on paint or something. I have a guitar center by my house and I wanted to know how much they cost to repair a guitar to close to new shape. On the head of the guitar it has a playmate on it and the Dean logo. I want to start playing the guitar but my parents don't really have enough money to buy me a new one so that's why i asked my cousin for her old one because i knew that it was just going to sit there forever until she eventually threw it away. blogs.guitarworld.com photouploads 171.jpgI provided a picture I found on the internet of how it looks.
Urgent guitar repair question!?
A few minutes ago, I went to plug my guitar cable into my guitar, and the other end into my amp. and some type of piece broke on the guitar and now I can't plug the cable into my guitar. The cord goes into the hole, but nothing is holding it in there so it's not clicking. I'm not sure if I'm missing more pieces, but that little round piece that surrounds the hole fell off. When i put my cable into the hole on my guitar, it doesn't register at all. I received a cheap guitar for my graduation gift 6 years ago because I had never played and didn't know if I would be able to play, and I never had any problem with that guitar. Now since I can play now, I bought a les paul back in November it costs around $600 if that helps , and in 5 months time some piece falls off. I didn't get the warranty because I thought this guitar would last longer than my other one if it costs 3 times as much. Can someone please tell me what I need to do, and how much do you think it will cost me. Thanks.
