Is 20 too old to start learning guitar or bass?
With an actual shot at joining starting a successful band? Or would i have to had been already playing for years by now?I should add that i want to eventually be in a " metalcore" band.
Should I try learning guitar and where should I start?
I have tried learning on an electric guitar before and never had motivation to keep working on it. I started to play with my friends but now I don't care if I play with them or not. I have always wanted to know how to play an acoustic however I never did. I do not want to spend too much money and I don't have time to take lessons.If anyone has suggestions that would be AWESOME

I am just wondering what are the best methods of learning guitar for example so far I have been going through some marty swartz videos, there ok but they don't really seem to help much.I was also looking through these tabs.ultimate guitar.com t taylor swift you belong with me crd.htm but I am confused about tabs because they don't tell you strumming picking patterns and it makes it hard to figure out yourself.I just need some sources guides that are going to help me understand things quicker such as tabs.sorry if this is layed out messy....I have only been playing for a few days, I know most chords and I know where to go if I forget any, but I am finding what I know hard to put together as a whole.

I am not really sure what the best way of learning guitar so I would like some advice..Is the best way of starting off just reading tabs to get a feel for the guitar?? Is it learning chords?? Some advice please?
