Are there tuning keys for vintage guitars like mine? I need replacement.?
Local music store guy told me no more tuning keys like I need are available on the market. He wants to drill extra holes in my headstock. I rufused and he thinks I'm a twit.Also on the front of the headstock, most guitars have a nut holding the machinehead. Mine was round and smooth, not a nut. hi im mark i want to know if theres any brands that have fender guitars or have ne thing simulare to em like the telecaster strato caster bullet american standard etci mean the guitars its self in diffrent brand names but as the same stuff whammy bar 5 way tuggle volume tone master tone neck bridge
What are the benefits of vintage guitars/amps?
My friend went on and on about how godlike vintage guitars and amps especially amps are. I'm wondering why. Its only logical that a modern guitar would be in better condition than a vintage one, right? Not to mention all the new features and such. This seems to be more obvious with amps. Wouldn't vintage amps have a lot less features? Of course, if they have better sound quality or something, that would be more important to me, but it seems logical that with improved technology and other advancements would make modern instruments superior.Please explain to me why vintage products are so much better. Thanks.

Old vintage guitar question ?
Hey guys, I live in Australia and got given a " Pacific Viceroy" brand guitar, I have no idea of its history or age or anything. I had a look on the internet but there was hardly any information on it, but it did say that they were made in Australia in the 40's, it hasn't got a seriel number or anything on the inside of the guitar. Did guitars back then have seriel numbers and all that? Also it looks like on the back that someone has started sanding it, maybe to do it up. Is there any other way to get info on this guitar? Also do you think it is worth to refurbish it? It's in not too bad of condition, a fair few scratches and dints on the front. Any info is appreciated Thanks
Do vintage guitars sound better than newer guitars?
Is it okay to remove the pick guard from a vintage guitar?
I have an old Harmony Stratotone I believe that is about 50 years old.The serial of the guitar is under the pick guard I believe and I want to see it to verify the year and model. The screws and everything are original and old. I don't want to cause harm to the guitar though. Is it safe to unscrew the pick guard? with the really old screws without harming the guitar?
How much would this vintage guitar sell for?
